Business Formation · Funder Research · Grant Writing

Built right. Funded on evidence. Sustained by people who do this for a living.

Most mission-driven work doesn't fail for lack of conviction. It fails at one of three points: a company set up from a generic template, a funding plan built on what funders say instead of what their tax records show, or a leader left to write every grant alone. EJAH helps at all three.

Three Services, One Standard

Where are you right now?

Every client starts in one of three places. Choose the one that sounds most like your week.

01

Business Formation & Structure

“I'm starting a company.”

For founders and executives starting a Florida LLC, a holding company, or a business meant to support a charity or cause. We plan the structure before anything is filed, so the company you start can carry what you're asking of it.

  • — A structure planned around your goals
  • — Florida filing, EIN, and a yearly deadline calendar
  • — An ownership and decisions plan for your attorney
  • — A tax setup summary for your CPA

From $2,500 one flat fee

02 · THE CAPITAL MAP PROTOCOL™

Funder Research from Public Tax Records

“I need to know where the money actually is.”

For nonprofits, family offices, and corporate foundations that want proof before they spend time or money. We read the tax returns funders file each year and show you the ten that their own records say are a real fit.

  • — Ten funders chosen by what they've actually funded
  • — How much each one really gives
  • — Connections between their board and yours
  • — A check that each one accepts applications at all

From $3,500 one flat fee

03 · UNSEALED INTELLIGENCE™

SINCE 2018

Your Monthly Grant Team

“I need the grant work done, every month.”

For established nonprofits, usually $500K to $5M a year, ready to hand grant work to a dedicated team. A researcher finds the right funders, a writer prepares the applications, and a second expert checks every one before it's submitted.

  • — A dedicated researcher and writer
  • — Every funder checked against five tests first
  • — A second expert review before every submission
  • — A list of funders kept current every month

From $3,230 per month

How We Work

One rule runs through all three services: check the record before you trust the promise.

Every private foundation files a yearly tax return with the IRS, called Form 990-PF. Nonprofits file a similar one, the Form 990. These returns are public, and they show who a funder actually gave money to, how much, and how often.

A funder's website tells you what it hopes to be known for. Its tax return tells you what it actually did. Every recommendation we make starts from the tax return.

WHAT A FUNDER'S WEBSITE SAYS
WHAT ITS TAX RETURN SHOWS
“We welcome applications.”
Whether it actually accepts applications from anyone it didn't already choose
A grant range, such as “up to $100,000”
Every grant it made last year: who received it, and how much
A list of priorities
What it has really funded, year after year
A list of board members
Which of them you may already be connected to

The 5-Gate Methodology: five tests every funder must pass

We've used these five tests since 2018. If a funder fails even one, we don't recommend it and we don't write to it.

01

Capacity

They actually give grants as large as you need.

02

Geography

They fund the area you serve.

03

Eligibility

You meet every one of their rules, including the unwritten ones.

04

Theme Fit

They've funded work like yours before, not just said they might.

05

Ask Type

They give the kind of money you're asking for: for one program, or for general operations.

Business Formation clients get this built into their company from the start. Capital Map clients get it as a written report. Grant Team clients get it applied to every funder, every month.

How the Services Connect

Most clients start with one service. Each one is built so you never have to start over at the next.

BUILD

The company

A founder starts the company that will support the mission, set up from day one to work with or fund a charitable cause.

FIND

The funders

The Capital Map finds the funders whose own tax records show they give to work like yours, at the size you need.

APPLY

Every month

The Grant Team writes to those funders, using the same standard that found them, and keeps your list of funders current.

Results

Real outcomes. No client names, ever.

In this field, client names get used to approach their donors and funders. We won't be the source. Every figure below is real and verified by EJAH.

2018

the year our five funder tests went into daily use

$160K

Multi-year grant after a decline

A nonprofit with a $50,000 budget had been turned down. Our review showed the reason could be fixed. They reapplied and were approved.

$335K

Cash grants approved in one year

Four quarters of carefully chosen, well-timed funders for an organization running on under $50,000 a year.

$36K

Cash and donated support in three months

Seven-plus approvals. Donated goods and services were used to strengthen the case for the cash grants.

What We Hold To

Four things we will always tell you plainly.

We don't guarantee funding.

No one honestly can. We guarantee the care behind every recommendation and every application. The decision is always the funder's.

We plan your company. Your attorney and CPA finalize it.

We plan the structure, handle the state filing, and prepare clear plans for your professionals. Your Florida attorney writes the legal documents, and your CPA confirms the tax setup. That's how it should be done.

We don't share who we work with.

Not in case studies, not in conversation, not to anyone. Your funders and your donors stay yours.

Your mission doesn't change to please a funder.

If a funder would only say yes to something you're not, it isn't a fit worth chasing, and we'll tell you so.

About the Firm

Led by Ebynn J. Hanna. Overseen personally, every client.

EJAH was founded on a simple conviction: counsel is a stewardship, not a performance.

Ebynn has worked as a grant strategist and grants manager since 2013. EJAH Business Consulting & Co LLC was formed in Florida in December 2022 to bring that experience to other organizations: first as a funder-research practice, then as a full grant team, and now as a firm with three services built on one standard.

Every client's work goes through review standards Ebynn set and personally signs off on: every team assignment, every approved funder list, every Formation Record, and every Capital Map, before it reaches you.
